Four-time World Champion Higgins compiled the sixth maximum break of his career at 5-0 down in the match at the Grand Stage. He was never out of position as he picked off the 15 reds with blacks and cleared the colours.
Amazingly it's the second 147 in the final of a ranking event in China this season as Stuart Bingham made one at the Wuxi Classic in July, and Bingham was also 5-0 down at the time, to Ricky Walden.
Higgins had previously made a 147 in the final of the 2003 LG Cup and he, Bingham and Stephen Hendry are the only players to hit the magic number in a ranking final.
Wishaw's 37-year-old Higgins wins a £10,000 bonus plus the £2,000 high break prize (providing it is not equalled) as well as a special box of six gold pieces (worth around £5,000) provided by the promoter East Asia Group.
It's the 91st maximum in snooker history and the third of the season after Bingham's and one from Ken Doherty at the Paul Hunter Classic.
Trump himself was on a 147 in the first frame but missed a difficult last red on 112. He went on to make breaks of 80, 74, 111 and 59 in winning the first five frames. First to ten takes the title.
