• The University made its first attempt to secure financial support from sources apart from fees and state appropriations by establishing a committee on Gifts, Endowments, and Memorials.

• Betty Gaeth senior; Ronald Heilman, junior; Dwight Toedter, sophomore; and Richard Dunipace were the student representatives on the University Social Committee.

• Graduating class was 135 seniors.

• - The Commoners Fraternity planned its annual formal and signed Bert Block, originator of “Bell Music,” a new type of orchestration, to perform.
