Belize Travel Guide



Belize is a small country. Yet it is world famous for scuba diving, swimming, and snorkeling due to its long reef and underwater caves. Belize is famous for its "Blue Hole" which is a submerged cave 999 feet in diameter and 410 feet deep. Belize also is home to the biggest barrier reef in the Americas.

Belize has warm climates the entire year with warm, clear blue Caribbean sea and jungles packed with wildlife and curious Mayan ruins making Belize a first class tourist attraction.
Belize City has several cultural and historic sites such as museums, a good zoo, historical buildings and the historically recognized Mayan ruins of Altun Ha.
Belize also offers great bird watching, hiking, water sports, and exploration.
The Belize Barrier Reef is the longest in the Northern Hemisphere and is popular with divers, fishermen and snorkelers.
Coral islands by the hundreds cover the 175 mile reef are popular with sports fishermen, scuba divers, snorkelers and swimmers. The interior of Belize contains many Mayan archaeological sites in different states of exploration.
Most of the country is consists of jungle with natural, untouched and protected wilderness offering spectacular adventures for explorers. Belize humid, sub-tropical climate with a cool Caribbean breeze is inviting to tourists anytime of the year.
For golfing, Belize provides great weather and pristine courses. Belize has some beautiful and challenging golf courses. You can play golf with either a jungle or ocean background.
Belize has six districts with each offering something special to tourists. If you are looking for inland activities in jungle scenery, or marine life, each of the six districts includes something for everyone.
There are a variety of lodgings from internationally rated hotels to jungle resorts of ocean side cabanas as well as international cuisine restaurants.
