Objectives

The specific objectives of this Chair are to:

  • promote teaching, research and outreach activities in astronomy, astrophysics and space sciences throughout the Palestine;
  • develop curricula and degree-awarding post-graduate programme in astronomy, astrophysics and space sciences, and provide training in these fields;
  • carry out research and outreach activities in the field of astronomy, astrophysics and space sciences, and disseminate research results widely; and,
  • promote networking and knowledge-sharing in the fields of astronomy, astrophysics and space sciences at the local, regional and global levels, and contribute to relevant international initiatives.
