The break came in the opening frame of the match at the Ravenscraig Regional Sports Facility in Scotland in the Betfair European Tour event. Maflin will earn a £500 bonus from the rolling prize pot unless his break is equalled.
It's the eighth 147 of the season following two from John Higgins and one each from Stuart Bingham, Andy Hicks, Jack Lisowski, Tom Ford and Ken Doherty.
Maflin, who was raised in London but has lived in Norway for the past decade, made his only previous 147 in the very first Players Tour Championship event in 2010.
