Planetary geomorphology is one of the new frontiers in geomorphological research. Landforms resulting from aeolian, coastal, fluvial, glacial, groundwater, lacustrine, mass wasting, meteor impact, rock breakdown, tectonic and volcanic processes have operated under a myriad of conditions on a variety of planetary surfaces. Controls such as gravity, atmospheric density, insolation receipts and climate change vary enormously across the solar system and provide the opportunity to extend the methodology of geomorphological inquiry to other Earth-like surfaces. This session is open to submissions on all aspects of planetary geomorphology including the use of Earth analogues.
