Actress Lee Si-young officially joined the boxing team of Incheon City on Thursday. Lee received her appointment certificate from Incheon Mayor Song Young-gil.

She appeared in a sweat suit with the logo of the city and expressed her wish to compete in the 2014 Asian Games there.

Lee is an established amateur boxer and has won a number of amateur titles in the 48-kg class. But since that class is not included in international competitions such as the Asian Games and the Olympics, she decided to up her category to under-51 kg.

She plans to continue her acting and boxing careers at the same time. Her latest film will be released on Feb. 14.
