COMUNICATO: VISITA DELL’ARCIVESCOVO DI CANTERBURY AL SANTO PADRE FRANCESCO , 10.06.2013
Il 14 giugno, Sua Grazia Justin Welby, Arcivescovo di Canterbury, renderà visita a Sua Santità Papa Francesco. Questo sarà il loro primo incontro, entrambi avendo assunto solo di recente il loro rispettivo ministero.
L’Arcivescovo visiterà la tomba di San Pietro sotto la Basilica e, dietro sua particolare richiesta, pregherà presso la tomba del Beato Papa Giovanni Paolo II. Incontrerà in seguito il Cardinale Kurt Koch, Presidente del Pontificio Consiglio per la promozione dell’unità dei cristiani, il quale gli illustrerà il lavoro del Dicastero.
L’udienza papale prevederà un momento per le conversazioni private, seguito dai rispettivi discorsi e da un servizio liturgico a mezzogiorno. L’Arcivescovo sarà accompagnato dalla sua consorte, Caroline, dal suo rappresentante ufficiale a Roma, l’Arcivescovo David Moxon, e da S.E. Mons. Vincent Nichols, Arcivescovo di Westminster.

On 14 June, His Grace Justin Welby, Archbishop of Canterbury, will visit His Holiness Pope Francis. This will be their first meeting, both of them having taken up their ministries only a short time ago.
The Archbishop will visit the tomb of St Peter beneath the Basilica, and, at his special request, will pray at the tomb of Blessed Pope John Paul II. He will then visit Cardinal Kurt Koch, President of the Pontifical Council for Promoting Christian Unity, and learn about the work of the Council.
The Papal audience will comprise a time of private conversation, followed by addresses and a service of mid-day prayer. The Archbishop will be accompanied by his wife, Caroline, and his official representative in Rome, Archbishop David Moxon, as well as by Archbishop Vincent Nichols of Westminster.
