These crawls are part of an effort to archive pages as they are created and archive the pages that they refer to. That way, as the pages that are referenced are changed or taken from the web, a link to the version that was live when the page was written will be preserved.
Then the Internet Archive hopes that references to these archived pages will be put in place of a link that would be otherwise be broken, or a companion link to allow people to see what was originally intended by a page's authors.
This is a collection of web page captures from links added to, or changed on, Wikipedia pages. The idea is to bring a reliability to Wikipedia outlinks so that if the pages referenced by Wikipedia articles are changed, or go away, a reader can permanently find what was originally referred to.
Kim Jong Eun has been promoted to ¡®marshal¡¯ of the Chosun People¡¯s Army, according to an ¡®important announcement¡¯ made by the North Korean state media at 12PM today.
"The decision was jointly issued on Tuesday by the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, the National Defence Commission of the DPRK and the Presidium [Standing Committee] of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK," KCNA subsequently announced.
The promotion elevates Kim, who was formerly a 'general', over the top of the growing number of vice-marshals now in the People's Army structure, including one promoted yesterday, V. Mar Hyon Yong Chol.
He is one of only two marshals now alive in North Korea. The other is Lee Ul Sol, who received the rank in 1995
Only Kim's predecessors as leader of North Korea have achieved the higher rank of 'Grand Marshal'/'Generalissimo'; Kim Il Sung received it in 1992, while Kim Jong Il received it posthumously earlier this year.

I very much doubt this has any significant meaning what so ever. I mean, if the most infamous Kim only got it in death it probably means that someone forgot all about it! They didn't want to make the same mistake twice. 2012-07-18 22:53:22

Some analysis would be helpful.
What does this promotion mean, given Kim's existing role as the object of veneration and worship by the DPRK masses?
Does it have any meaning whatsoever? 2012-07-18 22:23:43
