Judd Trump raced through three matches, losing just two frames, to reach the last 16 of the Ruhr Open in Germany.

 

World number three Trump beat Andrew Higginson 4-1, Elliott Slessor 4-1 and Steve Davis 4-0 at the European Tour event.

 

Stuart Bingham scored an impressive 4-2 win over Neil Robertson, compiling breaks of 83, 70, 75 and 73. Robertson had earlier been in astonishing break-building form, beating Ahmed Saif 4-0 with 108, 100, 105 and 100, his opponent failing to score a single point. Robertson also knocked in 100 and 103 in a 4-1 win over Rob Milkins.

 

Kyren Wilson, who reached the quarter-finals of the recent Shanghai Masters, continued his superb form with a trio of wins, culminating in a 4-3 defeat of Marco Fu, highlighted by a run of 114.

 

Belgian Bullet Luca Brecel beat Michael Holt 4-3 in a dramatic finish, potting the final black in the deciding frame after a long safety battle.

 

Mark Allen enjoyed runs of 61, 80 and 64 in a 4-2 win over Mark Williams and Mark Davis saw off Sam Baird by the same scoreline.

 

Robbie Williams beat Liu Chuang 4-1 while David Gilbert made a 137 in a 4-2 win over Dave Harold.
