Korean national soccer team player Ki Sung-yueng and actress Han Hye-jin will tie the knot on July 1, the actress said on Tuesday.
The actress announced the news herself through her Twitter account, as well as explaining that a meeting between the two families was arranged a few days ago.
The wedding will be held at Seoul’s Intercontinental Hotel at 7 p.m KST and Rev. Kim Joshua of Seoul Dream Church will be officiating the wedding while Korean ballad singer Yangpa will sing at the ceremony.
The actress added that the private wedding will be small and simple. She rented a wedding gown while the wedding gifts she and her to-be-husband have exchanged were nothing more than their wedding rings. They couple will also skip the traditional pyebaek ceremony.
A pyebaek is a Korean ceremony held by the newly weds to pay tribute to the groom’s family right after the wedding.
The couple have not yet decided where they will have their honeymoon because Ki, who is currently the midfielder for the Premier League club Swansea City AFC, will have to leave for training the very next day.
Meanwhile, Han will join her husband after ending filming of her new film “When a Man Loves” [tentative title] and SBS reality talk show “Healing Camp” shoot in late July.
