PARIS -- Endemol Worldwide Distribution has closed a raft of sales on Zeppotron's dark-edged satirical drama ''Black Mirror'' in the run-up to MipTV, which kicks off April 1 in Cannes.

Endemol, which will introduce ''Black Mirror'' to further buyers at MipTV, has sold the show's licensing rights in 21 territories to such broadcasters as SBS in Australia, Hot Vision in Israel, SVT in Sweden, and both Turner and Mediaset in Spain.

Endemol is also finalizing a pan-regional deal for Central and Eastern Europe to have ''Black Mirror'' broadcast across 15 territories, including Poland, Czech Republic and Hungary, and is in final negotiations with a Chinese net.

''Black Mirror'' was created by Charlie Brooker and produced by Endemol U.K.-owned Zeppotron for Channel 4 in the U.K., where it premiered in December to upbeat reviews.

'''Black Mirror' is a contemporary drama which taps into our unease with the modern world. Each stand alone episode explores our relationship with technology and our thirst for constant distraction and entertainment,'' said Annabel Jones, exec producer and managing director for Zeppotron. ''The series was extremely well received here in the U.K. and I think audiences everywhere will relate to the dark, satirical storytelling at the heart of each episode.''
