Kyuhyun, Seohyun, and Lina Star in ‘The Moon that Embraces the Sun’ Musical

Putting their singing and acting skills to the test at the same time, Super Junior’s Kyuhyun, Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun, and former CSJH the Grace member, Lina will be acting in the upcoming musical, The Moon that Embraces the Sun.

On December 4, the poster for the musical was revealed, showing the singers dressed as Lee Hwon and Yeon Woo, raising anticipation for the show.

The Moon that Embraces the Sun kicked off as a musical in June of 2013 and will be starting up again in 2014 with old and new members of the cast.

Kyuhyun will be sharing the role of Lee Hwon with Kim Da Hyun and Jeon Dong Seok. Lina and Seohyun will share the role of Yeon Woo with Jung Jae Eun. This will be Seohyun′s first time acting in a musical.

The musical was nominated in nine different categories at the 2013 Korea Musical Awards and received much praise from the audience.

The Moon that Embraces the Sun is based on the best-selling novel with the same name. The drama version, starring Kim Soo Hyun and Han Ga In, also gained 42 percent in ratings, becoming a national drama.

The newly-cast production will kick off on January 18 and run until February 23 at the Seoul Arts Center.
