KBS’s drama “Secret Love” handed in the winning baton from SBS’s top series “Master’s Sun,” which ended its nine-week dominant run last week.

This week, “Secret Love” became the new winner on Wednesday and Thursday prime time slot in its third week of airing, which scored an average mark of 13.5 percent on October 9 and 10, AGB Nielsen Media Research’s (Nielsen Korea) chart showed Friday.

Starring Hwang Jung-eum, Ji Sung, Bae Soo-bin and Lee Da-hee, the authentic melodrama has successfully attracted TV viewers from “Master’s Sun” despite of hot debuts of other two TV series.

SBS’s new series “The Inheritors,” the idol-studded drama starring Lee Min-ho and Park Shin-hye, made its debut on No. 2 after drawing in an average 11.1 percent of total viewers.

With its pretty good debut score and audience response, the high-teen romance drama seems to have a great possibility to be the strong competitor of “Secret Love.”

At the bottom of the chart, MBC’s new medical drama “Medical Top Team” grabbed only an average viewership of 7.2 percent in its debut week.

Meanwhile, TNmS (Total National Multimedia Statistic) showed the three programs in the same order yet slightly different figures in the same time frame.

“Secret Love” took the top seed with an average rating of 11.2 percent, while “The Inheritors” and “Medical Top Team” each followed with average scores of 10.5 and 6.5 percent, sequentially.
