Actor Park Si-hoo Speaks for 1st Time Since Rape Case

 

Actor Park Si-hoo has spoken to his fans for the first time since being embroiled in a rape case earlier this year.

Park put up a posting under the title “at 2 a.m. in America” late on Monday, and started it by expressing the difficulty he has in trying to deliver the complex emotions he felt the past few months.

He then apologized for the worry he caused. “I had been afraid to face my family, relatives and acquaintances because of the thought that everyone that knows my face is saying bad things about me.”

“What became more scary and painful over time was the guilt I felt over having hurt my fans who loved me so dearly, and whether I’d be able to stand in front of you again,” the actor went onto say.

However, he said he coped with the difficult situation he was in because of his fans’ love and emphasized his gratitude for them.

He then promised he would return to fans as an actor without stating a time frame. “Because of you as my family, once again I’m going to dream again and prepare to go out into the world. I can’t promise when it’ll be but I will definite meet you as a stronger and mature actor,” Park wrote.

The actor had gained favorable reputation through SBS drama “Cheongdam-dong Alice,” but had shocked the nation when it was reported in February that a would-be actress accused him of rape.

The woman had said that she, Park and his friend had drinks together and Park raped her after she blacked out from too much alcohol. Park admitted to having sexual intercourse with her but not against her will.

However, the accuser suddenly submitted a form dropping all charges against Park yet he has stayed out of public sight since.
