Korean actor Kwone Sang-woo [Bel Actors Entertainment]
Korean actor Kwone Sang-woo has been cast in a new medical drama, his agency said on Friday.
An official with Bel Actors Entertainment told TenAsia over the phone that the actor will play his first-time doctor role in the new drama titled “Medical Top Team” (translated title), set to premiere in October.
Set in a hospital, Kwone will play a medical surgeon who speaks and acts in a straightforward manner but kindly helps those in need.
The drama will be directed by director Kim Do-hoon of Kim Soo-hyun’s historical drama “Moon Embracing the Sun” and written by writer Yoon Kyung-ah of Shin Ha-kyun’s medical drama “Brain.”
Meanwhile, Kwone was most recently in hit drama “Queen of Ambition” with actress Soo Ae and in action film “12 Chinese Zodiac Heads” with action hero Jacky Chan.
