Ji Hyun Woo to Return to Small Screen through Drama ‘Trot Lovers’

Ji Hyun Woo will be coming back to the small screen.

After discharging from the army on May 6, Ji Hyun Woo has been confirmed to act in KBS2’s upcoming drama Trot Lovers, making his return to the small screen in two years.

He will be acting as the male lead in Trot Lovers, taking on the ‘trot rom-com’ drama.

Trot Lovers is about a star musician ‘Jang Joon Hyun’ who despises trot and a girl named ‘Choi Chun Hee’ who cannot live without trot. It is a romantic comedy drama depicting love and growth of the two people.

‘Jang Joon Hyun’ seems perfect on the outside, having good looks, musical talent and popularity, but is actually a selfish character who doesn’t care about others’ feelings. It will bring out a whole new charm from Ji Hyun Woo, who has previously acted out warm and sentimental characters.

An affiliate of Trot Lovers stated, “Ji Hyun Woo perfectly syncs with character ‘Jang Joong Hyun’ as he has good looks and acting and singing talent. As it is his first drama after discharging from the army, Ji Hyun Woo has a special love and attitude towards this drama. We expect him to show charming acting, returning thanks to the fans who waited for his return with love and support.”

Meanwhile, Trot Lovers will air the first episode in June, following Big Man.
