TONY UPHOFF

VNU Business Media has promoted TONY UPHOFF, vice president and general manager of the Hollywood Reporter, to president of the Film and Performing Arts Group, comprising the Hollywood Reporter, Back Stage East, Back Stage West, Hollywood Creative Directory and Amusement Business. He will also serve as publisher of the Hollywood Reporter, succeeding ROBERT DOWLING, who is leaving the company to open his own consulting firm. Uphoff joined the Hollywood Reporter in 2003 from Ziff Davis and CMP Media, where he was president of the business technology group. In addition, MATTHEW KING, group vice president, editorial development, will expand his duties to assume overall responsibility for editorial operations and strategy for all Film and Performing Arts Group brands.
