“Infinity Challenge” to Hold Nation-wide Election for New Leader

Infinity Challenge” will take the first step towards a new beginning by choosing a new leader.

On the May 3 episode of MBC’s “Infinity Challenge” titled “Choose! 2014,” the members turned into candidates and collectively introduced the upcoming election. As the recent departure of long-time member Gil has shed a dark shadow over the show, not to mention the tragic Sewol ferry incident, the six members will be starting anew.

Regarding the stormy situation of “Infinity Challenge,” Yoo Jae Suk said in his speech, “A real crisis is one that you are not aware of. It is even more dangerous if you do not take action despite knowing about it, and if you try to only protect yourself.”

Park Myung Soo attempted to challenge Yoo Jae Suk, “I am not qualified to become a leader. But I came here to block a certain candidate’s lead. I don’t even have a pledge. I just came to block Yoo Jae Suk’s way,” and evoked laughter with his entertaining comment.

Noh Hong Chul promised to bring something new to the table, “I consider our viewers to be our parents. We should show which girl their children are meeting and loving, and how their children are growing up. We should become a real family, and not simply say so.”

The elections will follow the formalities of the 2014 Korean Local Elections. The election day is May 22, and the preliminary elections will take place from May 17 to 18. The campaign period will continue until May 21.

Voting will be made available in ten cities; Seoul, Incheon, Chuncheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Jeonju, Gwangju, Ulsan, Busan, and Jeju. In order to vote, you must present an identification card. Voting will also take place online. All votes cast will be combined to choose the new leader of “Infinity Challenge.”
