In response to an ambitious programme and rich in diversity, the organisation of the event in the person of the Ministry of Culture (Mincult) put in motion the artistic class, with a menu that included cultural convoys, colloquiums, roundtables, lectures, exhibitions, music shows, dance and folklore instruments and other actions.
Determined to see the country move with culture, Mincult decided, 25 years after the first edition, to touch up the script and place at the disposal of the public the best the country has in terms of culture, providing the Angolan creators with the opportunity to publicise their works.
The vigour rand diversity of the Angolan culture were put to test, in a memorable mega-event that marked the world of arts over the year. Fenacult thus served as a point of promotion of cohesion, unity and diversity of the Angolan culture, including the preservation and divulging of the national identity.
Sponsored with the purpose of re-visiting the current state of the sector and gibe the artists the change to expose their works and exchange in a spirit of celebration, the event was intended to honour the president José Eduardo dos Santos, for his role in the defence of angolanity, engagement and dedication in favour of the valorisation and development of the Angolan arts and culture.
With Fanacult, the Government also sought to develop the premises for the implementation of the cultural policy in interaction and articulation among the public, the private and the third sectors, in divulging and valorising the arts and cultural, popular and traditional manifestations, promotion of consumption of national cultural goods, through local, national and international cultural networks.
