KIM Seong-hun 김성훈 | 金成勳's A Hard Day 끝까지 간다 (pictured) leads the nominations at the 2015 Chunsa Film Art Awards 춘사영화상, organised by the Korean Film Directors’ Association 한국영화감독협회가.
The noir thriller earned four nominations out of the six categories: Grand Prix (Best Director), Best Screenplay, Best Technical Achievement and Best Actor (LEE Seon-gyun 이선균 | 李善均).
Rounding out the Grand Prix nominations are KIM Sung-ho 김성호 for How to Steal a Dog 개를 훔치는 완벽한 방법, ZHANG Lü 張律 for Gyeongju 경주, KIM Han-min 김한민 | 金漢珉 for Roaring Currents 명량 and HONG Sang-soo 홍상수 | 洪常秀 for Hill of Freedom 자유의 언덕.
Joining A Hard Day with Best Screenplay nominations are Ode to My Father 국제시장, C'est si bon 쎄시봉, Whistle Blower 제보자 and Cart 카트.
Joining Lee in the Best Actor category are HWANG Jeong-min 황정민 | 黃晸玟 for Ode to My Father, HA Jung-woo 하정우 | 河正佑 for Kundo: Age of the Rampant 군도 민란의 시대 | 群盜, CHOI Min-shik 최민식 | 崔岷植 for Roaring Currents and OH Dal-su 오달수 | 吳達庶 for Detective K: Secret of the Lost Island 조선명탐정 사라진 놉의 딸.
The Best Actress category only has four nominees: BAE Du-na 배두나 | 裵斗娜 for A Girl at My Door 도희야, YEOM Jeong-ah 염정아 for Cart, CHEON U-hui 천우희 for Han Gong-ju 한공주 (2013) and HAN Ye-ri 한예리 | 韓藝里 for Haemoo 해무 | 海霧.
Haemoo is also nominated for the Technical Achievement award, along with Kundo, Roaring Currents, The Fatal Encounter 역린 | 逆鱗, The Pirates 해적 바다로 간 산적 | 海賊 and A Hard Day.
The Best New Director nominees are LEE Yong-seung 이용승 for 10 Minutes 10분 (2013), KIM Tae-yong 김태용 for Set Me Free 거인, July JUNG 정주리 for A Girl at My Door, WU Mun-gi 우문기 for The King of Jokgu 족구왕 (2013) and LEE Su-jin 이수진 for Han Gong-ju.
The winners will be announced on 18 Mar 2015 in Seoul.
