Speaking to Angop, Pedro Teta, who is also the coordinator of the Angola Digital Libraries Network, said it is the intention of the Government to equip each province of the country with a fixed digital and a proximity library in each province until 2016.

He considered satisfactory the state of implementation of the digital libraries in the provinces.

The official said the project stems from an initiative of the head of State that appointed an executive commission that led to the inauguration of the first four digital libraries.

Pedro Teta added that should the programme go as planned, each province and each municipality around the country will gain a fixed and a proximity digital library until 2017.
