[Exclusive] Nam Joo Hyuk Confirmed as Male Lead of ‘School 2015′

Nam Joo Hyuk will be starring in Who Are You as the male lead.

One broadcasting affiliate told Newsen on March 31, “Nam Joo Hyuk will be appearing on Who Are You as the male lead. He attended the script reading.”

In KBS’ upcoming drama Who Are You – School 2015 (tentative), Nam Joo Hyuk will be acting as the male protagonist Han Yi Ahn. Nam Joo Hyuk will be returning to the small screen in about six months since he starred in tvN’s Surplus Princess in 2014. In Who Are You, Nam Joo Hyuk will be acting opposite the female lead, Kim So Hyun.

BTOB’s Yook Sung Jae is also in talks to join the drama as another male lead.

Having appeared on JTBC’s I’m Going to School, Nam Joo Hyuk will be returning to a drama to show his different charms.

Who Are You is a school drama with elements of mystery set at an autonomous private high school in Gangnam as the background. Who Are You begins when Eun Byul, the school’s top ‘it girl,’ returns to the school after she went missing but has lost her memory. Through her search for the truth, the reality of schools will be naturally portrayed.

Who Are You will be directed by Baek Sang Hoon PD, who also directed KBS’ Drama Special Season 5 – Middle School Student A, Secret, and more, and co-written by writer Kim Hyun Jung, who wrote Drama Special Season 5 – Middle School Student A and writer Kim Min Jung, who wrote KBS’ Drama Special – Happy Rose Day.

Who Are You is set to begin in April, following Blood.
