altTEHRAN - Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Afghan President Hamid Karzai, and Tajik President Emomali Rahmon held their fifth trilateral summit in the Tajik capital of Dushanbe on Sunday.
 
During the summit, the presidents signed an agreement to develop projects to construct roads and railways that would connect the three countries.
 
It was also agreed that the necessary measures be taken to develop projects to connect the national grids of the three countries and to construct oil, gas, and water pipelines to facilitate the transport of energy. 
 
In addition, they agreed that a joint working group be established to make the necessary preparations, which would meet in Tehran two months later.
