Gary released "Shower Later" last week. The track is part of his first solo album Mr. Gae which also features another notable song "Zotto Mola."
A few hours after the track and MV for "Shower Later" was uploaded online, the song immediately rose to the charts and eventually reached the top spot. And although lots of new songs are being launched by different groups and solo performers, Gary's track did not budge and stayed at No. 1.
This is an amazing feat since Gary is not even promoting on TV. It can be recalled that the major broadcasting stations have banned "Shower Later" for its mature content.
Moreover, the stations find the song and its music video as not fit for general viewing because the lyrics are too aggressive and full of sexual innuendos. As a result, Gary could not promote on broadcast.
Despite of this, the song sealed the first place spot on several music sites including Daum Music, MelOn, Mnet, Olleh Music, Cyworld, Naver Music, and Genie. The results were from the January 20 race. A few other songs from the Mr. Gae album also ranked high on these sites.
