Angola to manage own internet domain from 2015

The management of Angola's internet domain .ao will switch from Portugal to Angola in 2015, according to legislation approved by the Angolan government, news agency Lusa reports. A joint decision by the ministers of Telecommunications and Information Technologies, Jose Carvalho da Rocha, and Science and Technology, Maria Candida Teixeira Pereira, anticipates completing this process in 150 days. The decision states that a monitoring committee be established as well as a technical working group to accompany the process.
