Toronto is the most youthful city in the world according to the Youthful Cities 2014 Index, finishing 7.41 points above 2nd placed Berlin, and a further 11.87 points in front of 3rd placed New York City. Toronto is recognized as the 3rd largest theatre centre in the English-speaking world, after New York and London. The Entertainment District is home to many of the city's most distinguished theatres and concert halls, including the historic Royal Alexandra Theatre, Massey Hall, and the Princess of Wales Theatre.
For those who prefer a night at the opera, ballet, or symphony, Toronto provides unmatched opportunities for each. The recently renovated Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts is one of the largest opera houses in North America and home to the

Museums and Galleries
Toronto is home to over 100 art galleries and museums, with two of its most famous recently undergoing stunning transformations.
The city's beloved
Art Gallery of Ontario (AGO) recently reopened after a multimillion-dollar expansion under the leadership of world-renowned architect Frank Gehry. A native Torontonian, Gehry reinvented the gallery with its billowing glass facade.
Another recently transformed cultural landmark, the
Royal Ontario Museum (ROM), makes a statement of its own as the Michael Lee-Chin Crystal protrudes at sharp angles over Bloor Street. Like the AGO, once inside, the ROM entertains and enlightens visitors through countless galleries displaying its many treasures of natural history and culture.
