UCLA Law is proud of the depth and breadth of the careers and interests pursued by our students prior to law school. Our students have excelled in almost every industry. The following is just a sampling of some of the outstanding pre-law school accomplishments of the class of 2018.

Business A number of students are entrepreneurs who have started their own businesses. The class also includes professionals from the investing, tax, finance, and consulting industries.

Arts & Entertainment The incoming class has a wealth of experience in the art and entertainment industries and includes actors, a music producer, an opera singer, a professional muralist, an art gallery director and curator, and numerous instrumentalists.

Government Students in the Class of 2018 have worked for the White House, the U.S. Department of State, the U.S. Department of Justice, the Peace Corps and for numerous U.S. Senators and U.S. Representatives. They have also worked on campaigns and elections all across the U.S.

Public Service Students are passionate about a variety of issues and have worked with the ACLU, the Natural Resources Defense Council, The Innocence Project, Compassion Over Killing, Heal the Bay, the AIDS Law Project of Pennsylvania, California Rural Legal Assistance, and the Inner City Law Center to name only a few.

Athletics The class includes competitive athletes in the sports of basketball, fencing, football, golf, rowing, rugby, sailing, soccer, swimming, track and field, and water polo.
