Public Land Corps

Public Land Corps restore and protect the rugged majesty of America's National Parks. In the Public Land Corps, crews build and maintain trails far into remote areas, prevent wildfires by clearing fire fuels, root out invasive species, and add features that keep national park visitors safe.

Public Land Corps creates healthy and safe environments for recreation and exercise; creating places where visitors can travel deeply into the natural beauty of these majestic national parks without doing damage to our national heritage.

Public Land Corps are managed by non-profit organizations that partner with the National Park Service. Individuals are recruited and supervised by one the organizations located across the country.

What would I do?
Public Land Corps members conduct work projects that rehabilitate, restore, and nehance natural, cultural, historic, archaeological, recreational, and scenic resources on public lands in national parks. Through the Public Land Corps you have access to mentoring, counseling, and exposure to new career fields and work skills.

Is this the right program for me?

Public Land Corps participants must be between 16 and 25 years of age.

Participants must be either a U.S. citizen or a legal resident.

Benefits
