Neil Robertson romped into the quarter-finals of the Wuxi Classic with a 5-0 demolition of Mark King.

The Australian opened with a break of 96 and followed it up with runs of 41 and 75 before coming back from 48-0 down to take the fourth frame.

The 2010 world champion sealed victory in style with a 111 break and will face local favourite Cao Yupeng in the last eight of the opening ranking event of the season.

Yupeng defeated Ben Woollaston 5-3 to reach the quarter-finals of a full ranking event for the first time.

Breaks of 65 and 79 open up a 2-0 lead but Leicester's Woollaston drew level.

However the world number 66 hit back with runs of 60 and 71 before a 73 to wrap up an impressive victory.

He was joined in the last eight by four-time world champion John Higgins who vanquished Xiao Guodong 5-0.

The Scot produced runs of 80, 49 and 58 in the victory and will face Joe Perry next after 'The Gentleman' defeat David Gilbert 5-2.

Matthew Stevens is also in the last eight. The Welshman defeated Peter Lines 5-3 with the crucial frame of the match arguably being the fifth as, with the overall score tied at 2-2, Stevens came from 56-0 down to snatch the frame.

He will next face Irish potter David Morris who beat Ali Carter 5-4 in a tight one.

Robert Milkins ended the run of Scott Donaldson with a 5-1 victory.

The world number 89 opened with a break of 58 but lost a tight first frame before Milkins went 3-0 up with runs of 54 and 46.

The Perth teenager got on the board in the next but world number 18 Milkins produced a break of 77 before closing out the victory.

He will face Anthony Hamilton who ousted Mark Williams 5-3.

The Nottingham potter took the opener courtesy of a 63 break but the 2000 and 2003 world champion won two scrappy frames before Hamilton loevelled with a 52 run.

The world number 43 then went 4-2 ahead before Williams pulled one back but Hamilton went on to reach his first ranking event quarter-final since the 2011 Australian Open.
