Producer Pyo Min Soo of ′Full House′ and ′Worlds Within′ to Direct ′Iris 2′

The famed drama producer Pyo Min Soo will be directing Iris 2, the sequel to the drama that had ensnared all of Korea.

Taewon Entertainment, the production company of Iris 2, announced through an official press release on September 23 that "producer Pyo Min Soo will be directing Iris 2."

Pyo Min Soo is well known for his work with the dramas Lie, Full House and Worlds Within, winning the Rookie Director Award at the 35th Paeksang Arts Awards in 1998, the Best Drama Award by Broadcast Reporters in 2000 and the Good Drama Award by viewers in the Citizens′ Coalition for Economic Justice.

He uses his unique video methods and sensitivity to reach the hearts of his viewers, and this time he is expected to write yet another new legend through the espionage drama Iris 2.

Iris 2 made issues even before filming commenced for its cast, featuring Jang Hyuk, Lee Da Hae, Kim Yeong Cheol, Oh Yeon Soo, Kim Seung Woo and Kim Min Jong. Pyo Min Soo′s brand of charisma and his ability to communicate on set is expected to add even more to the drama by bringing out the actors′ potential to their fullest.

His directing will connect the emotions of each character into a grand picture and enhance the scale of the drama, thus grabbing the attention of not only his male viewers, but also his female viewers.

Iris 2 will start filming in October, and is aiming to start airing in the first half of 2013.
