City Council

Regular meetings of Council are held the first and third Mondays each month at 7:00 p.m. in Council Chambers (in City Hall on the Downtown Mall at 7th and East Main Streets). The meetings are televised live on Charlottesville TV 10 and may also be viewed as live or archived streaming video on the web. Council may hold additional work sessions as needed; meetings are open to the public. Agendas of regular Council meetings are available in advance from the Clerk or on the Council website. Time is open for up to twelve speakers on subjects not scheduled for a public hearing at the beginning of each regular meeting. Additional time is open for speakers at the end of the each meeting. Speakers are asked to limit their remarks to three minutes. Upon written or phone request, the Clerk of Council will answer questions about Council business.
