Arguably the most-head turning booking at any major festival this year, Steve Davis is a recently retired six time world-snooker champion and part-time experimental music enthusiast.
His set at Bloc Festival this year drew interest far and wide due to the eclectic musical selections in his DJ performance. It also drew people to his radio show on Phoenix FM, the wonderfully titled, Interesting Alternative Show, which was the initial platform that showcased Davis’s musical palette.
We spent some time in his company talking about how this unlikely musical interest started, but also how it’s developed into something larger than he would have ever expected.
