BoM Revealed to Have Disbanded in March
BoM has made the decision to disband following a year-and eight-month-long career.
An official told enews on March 14 that "BoM decided to disband for the good of the members after hitting many difficulties. The members are currently preparing to promote individually."
Yoo Byung Sul, head of Y2Y Contents Company, wrote on BoM′s official fan cafe on March 8 that the group would be disbanding.
He said in the post, "I′ve drawn up my courage to write this as I believe the time has come to mark the end. I believe that as much as the beginning is important, the end also holds the same weight. BoM, which started off with the efforts of so many staff members in July 2011, will be coming to an end."
He added, "Last year we wrapped up promotions for the group′s second album, and entered preparations for the third as well as acting ventures. Many difficulties, however, hit the group, along with the situation the company was placed in, and so BoM will be coming to an end without being able to prepare for its third album. We wish to thank the fans for supporting the group even in these difficult times."
He also talked about how the members have been doing. Ta Goon is currently preparing to release an album with another agency, while Ji Soo and Yu A are preparing their own respective albums. Maeng Se Chang, the leader of the team, plans to concentrate on acting.
BoM drew attention with its debut thanks to the presence of former child actor Maeng Se Chang. The group had a member replaced with Ji Soo before the release of its second album.
