Greek Letter Organization Governing Councils:


Inter-Greek Council

The goal of the Inter-Greek Council at the University of California, Santa Cruz is to improve unity, provide governance and extend support to the Greek -Letter Community. The council will be the unified voice for the Greek Letter Community at the campus. Furthermore, the council will keep all organizations in compliance with campus standards and practices. We strive to positively impact Santa Cruz as well as foster growth in the Greek Letter Community.


 


 


College Pan Hellenic Council

We, as Undergraduate Members of women’s fraternities, stand for good scholarship, for guarding of good health, for maintenance of fine standards, and for serving, to the best of our ability, our college community. Cooperation for furthering fraternity life, in harmony with its bets possibilities, is the ideal that shall guide our fraternity activities. Additionally, we stand for service through the development of character, inspired by the close contact and deep friendship of individual fraternity and Panhellenic life. The opportunity for wide and wise human service, through mutual respect and helpfulness, is the tenet by which we strive to live.


 


 

 

Expansion Council

The Expansion Council is responsible for effectively managing expansion at the University of California, Santa Cruz. The council works towards understanding the need for a new organization based on Greek-Letter Organization trends including but not limited to, chapter size and health, community needs, and the best interest of UCSC students. Additionally, the council actuate that sufficient resources are available to current Greek-Letter Organizations as well as new organizations to ensure their success on the campus.

Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEΠ)

Alpha Epsilon Pi (AEΠ) is a social fraternity that seeks to proliferate and espouse the morals of Judaism through brotherhood, social action, and philanthropy. The Sigma Zeta chapter was founded on the UCSC campus in 2004 and has since been growing constantly. As well as being active participants in UCSC’s jewish community, AEΠ regularly hosts both social and philanthropic events.

Alpha Kappa Delta Phi (αKΔΦ)

Alpha Kappa Delta Phi, Delta Chapter was established on March 11, 1992. The purpose of this sorority is to promote sisterhood, scholarship, service, sisterhood, and Asian- awareness in the university and the community. Our national philanthropy is Breast Cancer Awareness which we publicize every October. All in all, we strive to give each sister a timeless friendship through sisterhood.

Alpha Phi Omega (AΦΩ)

Alpha Phi Omega (ΑΦΩ) is a national co-ed service fraternity. The Alpha Gammu Nu chapter was rechartered on the UCSC campus in 2009 and has been developing young leaders, building friendships, as well as providing service for the community, campus, and country.

Alpha Psi (AΨ)

Alpha Psi was founded on November 30th, 1988 with the belief that every woman should work to achieve all that is possible during her college experience. Alpha Psi's founding ideals are: academic excellence, social development, intellectual thought, and personal achievement. We encourage all our members to reach beyond perceived limits and accomplish all that she attempts.

Delta Sigma Pi (ΔΣΠ)

Delta Sigma Pi is a co-ed professional business fraternity. The Pi Chi chapter was founded on the UCSC campus in 2006 by a group of motivated, driven, and like-minded students. Throughout the years, we have built a strong network with our alumni brothers and current brothers from across the country. The three pillars we focus on are professionalism, community service, and brotherhood.

Delta Sigma Theta (ΔΣΘ)

Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Incorporated is a public service sorority that was founded at Howard University in 1913. The Pi Psi chapter was the first sorority established on UCSC in 1989. As sisters of The Divine Nine, Deltas strive to help educate and strengthen communities worldwide through programs and events that fall under our 5-point programmatic thrust.

Gamma Phi Beta (ΓΦΒ)

Gamma Phi Beta (ΓΦΒ) founded in 1874 is an international philanthropic organization that strives to inspire the highest type of womanhood in every one of our members. The Epsilon Omicron chapter at UCSC chartered in 1990 and has since strongly promoted the academic success of all sisters, as well as service to the community. Gamma Phi Beta fosters everlasting bonds, and with over 150 collegiate chapters in total, will provide you with lifelong friendships and the skills necessary to succeed.

Kappa Gamma Delta (KΓΔ)

Kappa Gamma Delta (ΚΓΔ) is a professional, academic and Pre-Health sorority. The Zeta chapter was founded on UCSC campus in 2006 and has been helping young women achieve their academic goals to go on and become health professionals, while also supporting them socially and emotionally.

Kappa Kappa Gamma (KKΓ)

Kappa Kappa Gamma is a philanthropic women's fraternity and a member of the National Panhellenic Council. Kappa strives for community involvement, leadership development, academic excellence, and a strong sisterhood among its members. Kappa has helped collegiate women since its founding in 1870 to get involved on campuses across the US and Canada. As our sisters create friendships that will last a lifetime, Kappa teaches its members how to work together and build interpersonal skills which will aid in college life and beyond.

Founded at the University of California, Santa Cruz on October 3, 2003, Kappa Zeta is a local multicultural sorority. We are focused on supporting each other as sisters emotionally, academically and socially by encouraging involvement within the community and to positively represent UC Santa Cruz with our outreach within the Santa Cruz community.

Lambda Phi Epsilon (ΛΦE)

Lambda Phi Epsilon was the first, only, and largest international Asian American-Interest Fraternity in the WORLD.  Since our inception, Lambda Phi Epsilon's goals have been to exemplify the highest standards of academic performance, social experience, community service, and most importantly brotherhood among its members.  We not only seek to bring together a diverse group of men who share interests, backgrounds and cultures, but believe that the strength of many are forged into the power of being one.

Lambda Theta Alpha Inc. (ΛΘA)

In 1975, Lambda Theta Alpha was recognized at Kean University as the First Latina Sorority founded in the United States. This organization was the first to recognize the need for a support system, thus creating one. We are an academic sorority aiming for scholarly excellence from all our members. Our principles are Unity, Love, and Respect which are portrayed through our salutes, strolls, and sisterhood bonds. Our purpose and mission is to cater to the Universal Woman while remaining politically and culturally active in our communities. Lambda Theta Alpha, Epsilon Chi Chapter was founded in UCSC, in the fall of 2012, by 14 founding sisters.

Phi Alpha Delta (ΦAΔ)

Phi Alpha Delta (PAD) is an international co-ed, pre-law fraternity that offers students of all majors and years the opportunity to attend law panels, tour law schools, network with other organizations, and be in an environment with other academically driven students. PAD’s mission is to promote the core values of integrity, innovation, professionalism, and diversity. We are an organization dedicated to instilling values of respect and hard work as well as encouraging members to pursue their passion for the law.

Pi Alpha Phi (ΠAΦ)

Pi Alpha Phi was established on March 5th, 1995. The fraternity is built upon five pillars; Brotherhood, Academic Excellence, Philanthropy, Leadership, and Asian Awareness. Each member of the fraternity pride ourselves in upholding these pillars and the traditions that have been passed down. Since becoming established as a National Fraternity on campus, Pi Alpha Phi have expanded their goals to provide UCSC students with the opportunity to improve and enrich their college years.

Sigma Alpha Epsilon Pi is a national Jewish interest sorority and was founded at UC Santa Cruz in 2005. Sigma Omicron Pi was founded in 1930 at San Francisco State University, and was established at the University of California, Santa Cruz on January 14, 1995 as Zeta Chapter. Our main objectives are Unity, Friendship, Leadership, and Service. Unity, equality for all. Friendship, creating limitless relations beyond our sisterhood. Leadership, to help each individual envision her fullest potential. Service, to maintain a commitment to our community. We are the oldest national, Asian-American interest sorority with chapters reaching all the way to the east coast.

The Iota Eta chapter of Sigma Pi Fraternity is truly a collection of exceptional individuals. In the classroom, in athletics, in nearly all areas, the confidence and motivation that comes from being a brother speaks volumes about the quality of the experience. Sigma Pi Alpha Sorority, Inc. (ELLAs) pillars consist of campus involvement, pursuing higher education, emphasizing and expressing culture, and philanthropic involvement in the community. As "Mujeres con cultura, fuerza, y hermandad" we emphasize a sisterhood that provides a safe space, a home away from home, and an academic, professional, and personal support group.

Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE)

Tau Kappa Epsilon (TKE) is a social fraternity that has been building better men for a better world since 1899. The Upsilon Pi chapter was founded at UC Santa Cruz in 2009. All members strive to display love, charity, and esteem continuously, not only on campus, but throughout the entire Santa Cruz Community. TKE works closely with many other on-campus organizations to put on some of the largest events at UC Santa Cruz, like Holi Festival with the Indian Student Organization. They also hold events each year to benefit their national philanthropy partner, St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Theta Chi (ΘX)

The Theta Iota Chapter of Theta Chi Fraternity is the oldest Fraternity on campus and has proudly been serving the Santa Cruz community for over 25 years. Theta Chi provides leadership development for young men through a variety of social and scholastic programming. The gentlemen of Theta Chi pride themselves on being well rounded men who in addition to personal growth, engage in many community service projects and philanthropies. Theta Chi has initiated more than 175,000 members since 1856 and currently has more than 7,000 undergraduates across 140 chapters.

Theta Pi Sigma (ΘΠΣ)

Theta Pi Sigma (“ΘΠΣ”) is the world’s first gender-neutral, queer frarority. Alpha Chapter was established in 2005, at UC Santa Cruz in 2005, with the goal of improving Greek Life for LGBTQ+ peoples. Theta Pi Sigma supports its members by encouraging and supporting personal growth, academic success, social support, and good health, so that our members may encounter Greek Life, university, and the world with knowledge and compassion, and the will to invest in improvement and progress.

Chi Chi Chi (XXX) is a local sorority founded the winter quarter of 2005 at UCSC. Our goal is to provide a positive collegiate experience through sisterhood, social outreach, and community service.
