BTS’ 'Blood Sweat and Tears' music video breaks Kpop video record [VIDEO]

BTS has proven its popularity with the South Korean group, breaking several records with its new album titled "Wings," as well as the boy band's latest song. Recently, the idol group's "Blood Sweat and Tears" track broke a Kpop music video record with its impressive view count.

BTS' music video for "Blood Sweat and Tears" reached more than 30 million views on YouTube less than two weeks after its release. The seven-member boy band's title track for its second full-length album "Wings" broke the previous record of 30 million views in 15 days, according to Soompi.

Launched on Oct. 10, Monday, the said track's music video also recorded the most number of views for a Kpop video in a 24 hour period. The "Blood Sweat and Tears" music video posted more than 6 million views in a single day.

Apart from the two milestones, the said music video was also identified as the fastest video to reach the 10 million view count in a two day period. The South Korean boy band nearly broke Psy's previous Kpop record for the said category with the solo artist's "Gentlemen" music video.

Similar to the idol group's new track, BTS' new album "Wings" already broke several Kpop records when it landed on the Billboard 200 chart. The album debuted at number 26 on the said chart for the week ending on Oct. 13, according to Billboard. The South Korean boy band also sold 16,000 album units during "Wings" first week on the market.

With the said album's impressive market performance, BTS' "Wings" broke 2NE1's previous record of highest charting Kpop album on Billboard. The South Korean girl group's 2014 album titled "Crush" previously held the highest top chart rank, having landed at number 61 during its release.

Meanwhile, "Wings" also surpassed EXO's Billboard record for best Kpop album sales. EXO's 2015 album "Exodus" only posted 6,000 album sales during its debut week as compared to BTS' new record of 16,000 units.
