Seohyun of South Korean girl group Girls' Generation performs during the press conference of her first solo album "Don't Say No" on Jan. 16, 2017 in Seoul, South Korea.

The youngest member of Girls' Generation showes she's not a little girl anymore on new project.

Girls’ Generation’s Seohyun became the third member of the K-pop girl group to release a solo album with the debut of her Don’t Say No EP on Monday (Jan. 17 in Korea). The EP features seven songs and shows a new maturity to the burgeoning diva.

Seohyun displayed an edgier, coming-of-age style on Don’t Say No than anything she previously showed throughout her career as a sprightly member of Girls’ Generation, which she's been a member of since she was 16.

The sultry title track is a building '90s-inspired dance-pop tune, while “Magic,” “Bad Love” and “Moonlight” stand out for their sleek jazzy and R&B styling. Seohyun shows further diversity on her first solo venture through “Hello,” a sweet duet featuring Eric Nam; “Lonely Love,” a mellow soft rock track; and the brassy bop “Love & Affection.”

Seohyun wrote the lyrics for all the songs on her debut EP aside from those of the single “Don’t Say No,” which were written by K-pop producer Kenzie (SHINee’s “Why So Serious?,” EXO’s “Wolf,” NCT 127’s “Limitless”).

The album was released along with a dramatic music video for “Don’t Say No.” The cinematic clip featured Seohyun as a femme fatale backed by a chorus line of dancers while she plotted the demise of a lover.

Seohyun is one of Girls’ Generation’s three primary vocalists along with Taeyeon and Tiffany, and is the third to release her own solo music: Taeyeon released two EPs since 2015, and Tiffany debuted as a soloist in 2016 with I Just Wanna Dance. The threesome formed subunit TTS in 2012 and most recently performed Stateside at KCON LA last summer. Last year also saw former Girls’ Generation member Jessica release two EPs, and the group’s dancer Hyoyeon release her first solo track, “Mystery.”

Since its release, the fashion-forward music video for “Don’t Say No” has been viewed nearly 2.5 million times on YouTube. Watch it now:
