By Staff Writer

Rachel Antony.

Rachel Antony has been promoted to CEO of NZ factual company Greenstone TV, part of CJZ Group.

Greenstone TV produces Kiwi shows such as Border Patrol, Motorway Patrol, Dog Squad, Highway Cops and Neighbours at War.

Antony moves from her current role as director of production and development. She replaces Richard Driver, who will now become chairman of the company.

CJZ CEO Matt Campbell said Antony had done an outstanding job since joining GS TV three years ago.

“Rachel is an impressive operator and her strong track record across both TV and digital positions her perfectly as CEO”, said CJZ Group CEO Matt Campbell.

“We are eternally grateful to Richard for accepting the MD role some two and half years ago and steering GS TV through a very complex period for all media companies."

Campbell said the company understood Driver "wanting to spend more time with his family on the farm, his polo team and racing motorbikes. Richard has kindly agreed to stay on in the new advisory role as Chair.”

Antony described Greenstone as a big part of her career, having first worked at for the company as a researcher back in 1999.

“So to now step into the role of CEO is a huge privilege," she said. "I’m grateful to Richard, Matt, Michael and Nick for the trust they’re placing in me and so grateful for the amazing team I get to work with every day. It’s a disruptive time for the media industry, but given there’s rarely a day in production that doesn’t involve some creative problem solving, we’re feeling confident we can meet the challenges."

Driver described working at Greenstone as "a rewarding experience".

"For the past two-and-a-half years I have been part of an extended family of enthusiastic, creative and highly professional people. Being the MD has been an absolute privilege, as has the opportunity to be able to work with the team at CJZ. Rachel’s appointment as CEO is a positive step for Greenstone. I am confident that she will lead the company forward and continue to grow Greenstone’s solid reputation for crafting compelling content.”
