Official State Tree of Minnesota

Minnesota designated the red pine (Pinus resinosa) as the official state tree in 1953. All State Trees

Commonly called Norway pine, legislation noted "the sturdiness and majesty of the tree, and how it helped lay the foundation for the wealth of Minnesota."
