St. John's has faithfully served our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in the same house of worship since 1870. We preach Christ and the teachings of Christ with the whole Word of Almighty God as the foundation for our teaching.

We welcome you to visit with us as we continue to serve Almighty God in the power of His Spirit by His grace.  You will find the people here to be welcoming and friendly. We still sing the great hymns of the faith and we welcome contemporary musicians to share their talent too. Praise and Worship of Almighty God has undergone many changes through the years, but the One true, living God has not changed. As we stand upon the foundation of the Apostles and prophets, and the sure foundation they provide with Christ as our cornerstone, we seek to serve Almighty God until Christ returns for His Bride.

St. John's became an independent congregation more than thirty years ago. Pastor John  began serving here in 2007 and positive things have been happening ever since.

You can benefit from getting involved at the Old Red Brick Church. If you are hungry for Bible-based, straight talk from the preacher, this is the place for you. If want to study the Word of God to learn what God wants for you and from you, then this is your church!  We realize not everyone agrees on the various human traditions and doctrines, which is why we stick to the Bible. If you prefer rock solid hymns,  over rock & roll we've got what you want! If you want to feel like a part of the family on Sunday instead of getting lost in the crowd, then we have just what you are looking for. If you like the feel of real oak (padded) pews, then visit with us and be fed the Word of Almighty God to the renewing of your mind and feeding of your soul.

If you want a place where your children can fit in and learn the truth about Almighty God's plan for their lives, then bring them here. Our loving volunteer staff serve with willingness because they care. This is not a job to them - it is a way of life! Each week, the children receive age appropriate instruction. And each week, everyone is filled with the Word of God.

The Old Red Brick Church Services


Whenever anyone wants to study God's Word, Pastor John will meet with them on Sunday Morning at 9:45 a.m. for a lesson from the Bible. Pastor John leads this time of study by looking at what the Bible has to say about what the Bible has to say. This is a meaty study that fills you with God's Word for your life.
   
We do not use man-made lessons here. We actually flip through the Bible and compare texts to gain deeper insight into what God's Word reveals about God's loving plan for humanity. We wrap up around 10:45 a.m. and spend about 15 minutes greeting each other between the Bible Study & Worship Service.
   
At 11:00 a.m., we begin our Worship service. Each week is filled with practical information that you can apply to your daily life. All visitors are welcome.

The Object of St. John's

The Object of St. John's is the glorification of God in the salvation of souls. We guide and instruct born-again believers through the teaching of God's Holy Word and the promotion of Godly worship.
   
We support the worldwide proclamation of God's saving grace expressed in the shed blood and finished work of the Lord Jesus Christ on Calvary and His bodily resurrection.
   
We promote the preservation of a pure church free from apostasy and compromise, and the earnest defense of "the faith which was once delivered unto the saints," until the Lord Jesus comes again.
   
Be a part of this historical church where new things are starting to happen. Join the celebration planning group or lend a hand with the youth group. Visit us Sunday morning or Wednesday evening. Help us develop another morning or evening of praise and worship to touch and improve other people's lives.
   
In this time of profound changes in our society, when everything seems to be forever altered from the roots of our great nation, it's time to stand united for positive changes! Together we can make a difference and celebrate the richness of Christ in this region.

Being and becoming like Christ

AT St. John's we focus on creating a healthy community and meaningful relationships. We are intentional about listening to people's needs. We understand that felt-needs are the way people express deeper needs. We adapt (as we are able) to meet those needs.

We know that our Creator will speak through the needs of His people. We want to listen. Our members care. We seek to meet your needs, as we are able. In this way, we are intentionally becoming more like the early church. Willingness to listen helps us to serve almighty God by serving His people. This improves our effectiveness as His ministers. This results in greater transformation in individual lives.

Our weekly gatherings and our involvement in outside ministries help us to meet your spiritual and physical needs. We offer times of prayer, worship, socializing, Bible study, and interaction with other believers.

The most important need of every believer is to fulfill their calling. This is a deep, inner need of everyone who follows the teaching of the one we call Jesus. The Holy Spirit of almighty God calls all believers to live purposeful lives. 

The Bible reveals the true purpose for all who are reborn. We are recreated to live as His servants. Our purpose is to bring God glory and to bring Him souls that He bought and paid for. As believers mature, this becomes the primary desire that propels them. By understanding and focusing on this, we are better able to meet the needs of others. This intentional focus helps us minister to others as they follow Christ and serve almighty God.

It is NOT about us. It is ALL about God!

As believers mature, they learn to place personal desires, wants and needs after His. They learn it is not about them or us. Instead, our lives are all about Him. We are created to worship and glorify Almighty God.  We use the talent and skill we possess to serve Him.

As we identify the needs of the people we serve in service to God, we seek to assist them to devote their energy, talent and time to serving Almighty God and others. This is an easy way to Love God with all of our heart, with all our soul, and with all our strength (as it is written).  It is also the fulfillment of "doing unto the least" as Christ instructed.
