Singer-actor Choi Si-won, who is playing a fashion magazine journalist Kim Shin-hyuk in “She Was Pretty,” highlighted the latest episode of the drama with his goofy yet sincere personality.

In the 14th episode that went on air Wednesday, deputy chief-editor Ji Sung-joon (Park Seo-joon) of the fashion magazine “The Most” submitted possibly the last story for the magazine as “The Most” is in danger of being discontinued. Kim Hye-jin (Hwang Jung-eum), who is Sung-joon’s girlfriend and a co-worker, stood beside him at the office and tried to cheer him up.

It was at this moment that Shin-hyuk, who has feelings for Hye-jin, saw the couple together and left the office feeling bitter.

But the next day, Shin-hyuk acted like nothing happened and asked Hye-jin to hang out with him saying he is very bored.

They went to an amusement park together and ate at a restaurant, making Hye-jin smile and not worry about the problems she had.

Before Shin-hyuk bid farewell to Hye-jin, he revealed his true feelings to her.

“I really like you Jackson (Hye-jin’s nickname),” he said. “Not as a man or woman, but simply just as a person. I like you as a human being, he said while maintaining his casual goofiness -- to not make the situation awkward.

“Thank you Jackson, because of you, life is very exciting,” he said. “Good bye”

“Why are you saying good bye as if we are never going to see each other again?” said Hye-jin. Shin-hyuk just smiled, pretended he was okay and left before his eyes became teary.

Later, it was revealed why Shin-hyuk bid farewell to Hye-jin so dramatically. His real identity was a famous, mysterious novel writer Ten, who “The Most” magazine tried to get hold of for an interview.

When Shin-hyuk finally revealed his identity to Sung-joon, his look completely changed from funny, laid-back guy with mustache to a gentleman with clean-cut, tailored suits, looking sharp.

The popular rom-com, with only two episodes left, hits the airwaves at 10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday.
