Japanese film starring Max Changmin of K-pop group TVXQ! will meet Korean moviegoers next month.

Japanese crime action thriller “Fly with the Gold” has confirmed its Korean release date to October 10 and released a teaser poster, according a press release sent from the pic’s local distributor Doki Entertainment on Wednesday.

In the thriller, which marked the K-pop idol’s Japanese big screen debut last year, Changmin depicts a North Korean spy named Momo, who disguises himself as an engineering student and later joins a gold bar robbery with five other characters.

Co-starring Japanese movie stars Satoshi Tsumabuki, Tadanobu Asano and Kiritani Kenta, the film raked in over 4 million U.S. Dollars in Japanese box office within three weeks of its opening on November 3 last year.

The 25-year-old singer/actor recognized his acting talent by receiving the best male supporting award at the 36th Japan Academy Awards and the best newcomer award at the 22nd Japan Film Critics Awards.
