The Semi-Finals and Final of the above Championship wereheld at Merthyr Labour Club on Saturday and Sunday, 26th and 27th April 2014 and the results were as follows:

Semi-Finals:- Best of 11 frames

Jamie Clarke 6-0 Darren Morgan

The scene for the match was set in the first frame after Darren made a break of 56 but Jamie won the the frame with a 57 clearance. After that it was one way traffic, with Jamie compiling breaks of 41,56,56,58,61 and 86 in the following frames to record an emphatic win to proceed to the Final.

Lee Walker 6-4 Gareth Allen

The match was a close encounter and an excellent contrast of styles of both players, but the added experience and temperament that Lee had, took him through to the Final. Lee had breaks of 76,54,45 and 40, compared to Gareth of 93,63,53 and 48.

Final – Best of 15 frames

Jamie Clarke 8-6 Lee Walker

In an extremely hard fought final which could have gone either way, Jamie proved the victor over Lee. The match could have easily gone to the final frame, but Jamie potted the pink and black in the 14th. frame to clinch theWelsh Championship. The match was a tactical battle with Lee having breaks of108 and 72 and Jamie 96 and 46 but both players must be commending on their sporting attitude shown throughout the Final.
