- 7x Masters (1995, 2005, 2007, 2009, 2014, 2016, 2017)
- The Rocket made history in January 2017 at Alexandra Palace. He eclipsed Stephen Hendry’s six Masters titles by beating Joe Perry 10-7 to clinch snooker’s most prestigious invitational crown for a seventh time.
- His run at the 2017 World Championship was ended after a magnificent quarter-final with Ding Junhui. The Rocket compiled a sublime 146 break during the match, but China’s number one progressed 13-10.
- O’Sullivan secured his 28th ranking event crown at the 2016 Welsh Open in Cardiff. His run to the final included a 5-1 demolition of Mark Selby. In the final he trailed 2010 World Champion Neil Robertson 5-2 before a magnificent blitz of frames saw the ‘Rocket’ run out a 9-5 winner.
- He also claimed a record equaling sixth Masters title at the Alexandra Palace in January 2016. After defeating Mark Williams, Mark Selby and Stuart Bingham. O’Sullivan then sealed the tournament crown with a 10-1 demolition of Barry Hawkins.
- He did lose out to Hawkins in an epic last 16 clash at the Crucible. Hawkins led 12-9 before O’Sullivan clawed himself back with breaks of 124, 88 and 63 to level at 12-12. However, Hawkins held his nerve in the decider, to edge a 13-12 win.
- O’Sullivan enjoyed a tremendous purple patch during the first half of the 2014/15 season, winning two events back-to-back. He beat Judd Trump 10-7 in a high-quality final at the Champion of Champions. The ‘Rocket’ also got the better of Trump at the UK Championships. He was pegged back from 9-4 to 9-9, but held his nerve in the decider to seal a fifth UK Championship win.
- The Englishman won the 2013 World Championships despite taking virtually a whole year away from competitive snooker, making six centuries in an 18-12 win over Hawkins in the final. That made him the first player since Stephen Hendry to retain the title, having beaten Ali Carter 18-11 in the 2012 final.
- O’Sullivan first won the World title in 2001 when he beat John Higgins 18-14, his second came in 2004 when he easily saw off Graeme Dott 18-8 and his third in 2008 with an 18-8 defeat of Carter.
- He won his first ranking crown at the age of just 17, beating Stephen Hendry 10-6 to win the UK Championship.
- Blessed with the rare gift of being able to play to a high standard both left-handed and right-handed, he made the fastest 147 on record at the 1997 World Championship, completing the feat in just 5 minutes and 8 seconds.
- Away from snooker, he is a dedicated long distance runner and believes the pastime has helped him enormously in his battle against depression.
- O’Sullivan counts artist Damien Hirst among his closest friends and also credits the renowned psychiatrist Dr Steve Peters as playing a key role in his recent success.
