Coming into the 33rd annual Television Critics Association Awards with a leading four victories, Hulu's The Handmaid's Tale scored two key victories — including program of the year — at Saturday's ceremony.

The streamer, which notched its first-ever nominations this year, also saw its breakout dystopian tale earn a win for best drama. NBC's This Is Us was recognized as best new program. And FX's Atlanta took home the trophy for best comedy, while the show's star Donald Glover was the winner for achievement in comedy.

The non-televised event, hosted by American Gods' Kristin Chenoweth, was held at the Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, home of the three-week TCA summer press tour that is currently underway.

Carrie Coon also made TCA history by being recognized for two separate roles (HBO's The Leftovers and FX's Fargo).

Additionally, Ken Burns was honored with the Career Achievement Award and NBC's Seinfeld was recognized with the Heritage Award.

The awards were voted on by television critics across the country.

"This was one of the most diverse seasons in recent memory, offering a wide range of programming that truly had a little something for everyone,” outgoing TCA president (and The Hollywood Reporter contributor) Amber Dowling said. “It also treated us to some incredible performances and eclectic plotlines that challenged us, moved us, and thrilled us, reinvigorating the television landscape with bold and innovative subjects that we had rarely seen before.”
