A year after impressing with her first solo EP, Suzy, a popular Korean singer/actress and member of the now-defunct girl group miss A, returned Monday (Jan. 22) with her first new song of 2018.

A lilting piano-based ballad, “I’m in Love With Someone Else” offers up a sweet music video that reminisces on a past romance as Suzy (born Bae Suzy) confesses to her previous partner that she's breaking up with him because of another.

Lyrically, Suzy describes the current relationship as something fragile that will eventually collapse under her feelings. “Do not hold onto a crumbling down sandcastle,” she tells the person with whom she is breaking up, before walking away in tears at the end of the music video.

“I’m in Love With Someone Else” is Suzy’s first release since miss A formally broke up last year and is the first single off her upcoming Faces of Love EP, which will be out on Jan. 29. It will be the singer’s second album, following last January’s exploration in soul and R&B; Yes? No?. That EP, Suzy’s first as a soloist, debuted on the World Albums chart at No. 15.
