Artwork and tracklisting for Jonghyun’s final album revealed ahead of release
The official artwork and tracklisting for Jonghyun’s final album have been unveiled ahead of its release tomorrow.
It was announced last week that the late SHINee member’s final solo album would be released posthumously, with all proceeds going to Jonghyun’s mother to help fund a foundation for those struggling with depression.
Ahead of Poet | Artist’s digital release tomorrow, the artwork for the album has been revealed.
The simple cover features a picture of Jonghyun wearing an orange jumper and set against a matching background, with pink lighting over his face.
This image is laid on a white background, while underneath the picture, text reads: ‘We can be together in this space, while being on the other side of the Earth. We can be together at any time, not just at 12 o’clock. Physical matters certainly remained indifferent in our space.
‘I only hope for this to never cease. I hope this space that belongs to you and me, be the site for anyone to rest in tranquility. I hope for our memories to rise as reminiscences and embrace you like no other.
‘This is dedicated to those who have created our space together. Thank you.’
As well as the artwork, the 11 song tracklisting has been released.

SHINee and Jonghyun’s agency SM Entertainment said in a statement: ‘We are announcing the news of the album release to fans who love Jonghyun and Jonghyun’s music.
‘We intend to release the album that we completed with Jonghyun last year, which was planned to be released in the new year. ‘Jonghyun’s album will be released under the title Poet | Artist online at noon on January 23, with the physical album released on January 24. A music video that was prepared together with the album will be released at the same time as the music is shared online.
‘Jonghyun loved music more than anyone and tried to to communicate through music, and we hope that his feelings will be conveyed to everyone.
‘Additionally, all the profits from the sale of this album will be given to Jonghyun’s mother, and will be the foundation for the establishment of an organization to help those who are living in difficult circumstances.’
Jonghyun, real name Kim Jong-hyun, took his own life aged 27 on 18 December 2017.
