Full-time positions (FTEs) are authorized at 124. Part-time Reserve Force Officer (RFO) positions staffed in peacetime are 175 (150 funded and 25 unfunded) from all branches of the Armed Forces. There are 56 part-time state directors who represent the 50 states, four territories (Guam, Northern Mariana Islands, Puerto Rico, Virgin Islands), the District of Columbia, and New York City. The agency is authorized about 11,000 part-time volunteer local, district, and national board members.
