Eurovision Debate

Eurovision Debate is an interactive, transmedia project that aims to bring the people of Europe together online and via traditional media to stimulate a debate across borders around issues that are topical and contentious.

The Eurovision Debate promotes public service values, and is meant to be a showcase innovation. It is a collaborative project with our Members. Eurovision applies the highest, sustainable production standards.

A member-led Editorial Board not only ensures the involvement and engagement of Members, but also underscores and reinforces our editorial independence.

In May 2015, the first Eurovision made broadcasting history by creating the first-ever live televised debate between the five main candidates to be the next president of the European Commission.

The official hashtag, #TellEUROPE, was a trending topic on Twitter in around a dozen countries.
