PRETTY PLEASE!

Seeing the PG logo on it makes me think it's the final cover, they stuck with the US release cover art, logo and all.

Legitimately serious. Compared to the Funi covers for the normal One Piece anime, Madman's looks way better by not bordering with white layers

Case in point vs

Madman's cover will showcase the entire art which will adorn the cover and other information will be placed on the back. Surely they could change the SW cover to look less weird...

In any case, at least the final cover isn't THIS.

Very odd choice of spine image in my opinion. You'd think they'd either do Saber again or go with Kiritsugu or Irisviel as they are an actual major focus of the overall story but this is why I think Fate Zero would have really benefitted from an individual volume release art-wise with all the Rental DVD release covers because that way you could have gotten a servant and master on each spine (reversible at least) rather than have to pick who to put over two spines.

So Madman gave up on the possibility of doing a LE for 'K', like they mentioned on Facebook a little while ago?

The Blu-ray release does list a booklet in the special features, it could be like another product that listed the booklet as only being in the first pressing. Maybe that will be considered a limited edition.

@YonkouProductions;
Just for future reference we generally don't really post ones that are directly accessible from the "coming soon" section of Madman's website, and in future please avoid mass posting of the larger sized images, as it's not very good for people with slow connections or perhaps a lower bandwidth limit.
Thank you for contributing though, there are some very nice covers among those posted.

Looks like June cover arts are starting to go up, very happy to see the Cardcaptor Sakura movie! Good to also see One Piece part 26, the Australian releases need catching up.

Oh boy, that Naruto Shippuden cover just screams filler. I kinda don't mind a bit of filler but I just got through a collection and half of filler, and we're diving right back after 2 collections.

Dragon Ball Z on Blu-Ray will just mirror the recent Funimation releases, as usual.

No chance of seeing the Dragon Box remasters released locally, or even a decent Dragon Ball Z release locally.

Thanks for the info. I bought the Dragon Boxes last year.

If the Dragon Boxes were released on bluray would I want to have them and I would be mad at myself for not waiting.

All Things cosidered I am happy I got the Dragon Boxes because the Funi DBZ Blurays are in 16:9. DBZ realy got to be 4:3

Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Series Collection DVD

Mobile Suit Gundam 35th Anniversary Edition DVD

Mobile Suit Z Gundam Collection DVD

Samurai Bride Series Collection DVD

(Seriously all these samurai fanservice shows look the same to me, didn't we already get this one?

Attack on Titan Collection 2 Regular Edition BD/DVD

Attack on Titan Collection 2 Limited Edition BD/DVD

Kill la Kill Vol. 1 + Collector's Box BD/DVD

Honestly I do hope this is developed a bit more, it's quite boring with just two pieces of key art and a white spine...
Attack on Titan looks nice for part 2. But I still don't care enough about the series to get it unfortunately.

Season one was called Samurai Girls and season 2 was called Samurai Bride that's why that one looks similar

The First Gundam 35th Anniversary cover looks nice, might be a good time for me to pick it up. The Gundam 00 cover looks terrible though compared to the season sets.

Still hoping one day we can get more of that franchise on Blu Ray...

Not on the main site yet, only b2b but saw these ones, sorry for the size. Being really lazy tonight because I'm only posting 3:

I mean there's other covers for that month but here's the stuff that actually matters.
iDOLM@STER is still better than Love Live but I'm curious to see what makes this a "collector's edition" closer to release date (Shame no BD though).

Rebellion art is pretty much as expected, but I like how the cover has been laid out for the BD and like that we might be getting some sort of slipcase to go with the box we got for the first two films. Feeling all sorts of hella right now for that release.

They're both subtitle only. Madman hardly ever does sub-only Blu-ray, especially for non-blockbuster titles.

Blu-rays are expensive to make, and undubbed titles don't sell enough to recoup the investment, even with partnering with distributors from other regions.

If you're deperate for Blu-ray versions, buy foreign. If you can't pay those prices, wait for standard editions.

I really doubt Nisekoi would sell less than any of the others they opted for Blu-Ray, it's pretty damn popular.

I wasn't getting angry or anything, I was just lamenting the lack of BD, I didn't expect it, because I'm fully aware they rarely do Sub only BDs.

This topic hasn't been used for a while, but felt appropriate for what I wanted to post. Madman's releases for December's Crunchyroll titles have had their covers updated, which show to be a slipcase over a standard blu-ray case (Which for me is perfect, for shelf display reasons!). I only wonder if the ratings logo over the company icons on the spine are a mistake? Otherwise I'm very happy to be able to finally own these!

Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress

Mob Psycho 100

These are just the US covers with the ratings logo superimposed. They'd need to adjust the spine logo placement.

The releases are literally just US imports. B2B lists them with identical barcodes to the US releases. I'm pretty sure they're just labels printed out with the legally required information and then just stuck onto the spines.

If these were errors, then Madman would've put their logos onto the box as well, but since it's only classification logos shown, it's probably labels. (i hypothesise this because Manga UK are releasing MP100 and Kabaneri at the same time, but their boxes have Manga's logos on them)

Some insights -

Basically, we now have a new distribution deal with Funimation on a number of their titles.

Some tiles will be straight imports as they are Region A+B and also 1,2,4 for the DVD, in this case, we will be replacing the slipcase with our own version.

Some titles that need a dedicated region B / 4 discs will have a new standard slick created for them.

We've had a couple of hick ups as we wanted to get these out as soon as possible but just wasn't possible, but you will now see from next year on we will be doing a lot more releases and also playing catch up with some of the back catalogue titles.

hope this helps to clear up some confusion around these products.

Cheers for that info.

So are you guys taking over the series that Sony currently has: My Hero Academia and Black Clover?

And also, for limited edition Funimation releases (Ancient Magus Bride), will the ltd edition box have to be reprinted to have classification logos printed on, or are these also gonna be direct imports with a sleeve/onsert (like what Sony did with My Hero Academia limited editions). I hope it's the latter so the sets look clean without those hideous classification logos hogging the space.
